About the Natural Therapies Association
The Natural Therapies Associations is a nonprofit membership organization for
natural therapies professionals. Membership fees pay for web site hosting packages provided by Qhiron Corporation, insurance services provided by Stratus
Insurance, conflict resolution services provided by PMCRS, workshops provided by the NTCW Network, executive services provided by IPX Executive Services and normal overhead.
The Natural Therapies Associations is divided into the following independent associations, each of which is controlled by their own executive board:
BANA - Biofeedback Association of North America
IACDT - International Association of Certified Detoxification Therapists
IMANT - International Medical Association for Natural Therapies
MBACA - Medical Biofeedback Association and Credentialing Board
NTAAA - Natural Therapies Association of Australasia and the South Pacific
NTACSA - Natural Therapies Association of Central and South America
NTAEU - Natural Therapies Association of Europe, Asia and Africa
NTANA - Natural Therapies Association of North America
The elected officers of NTACSA are:
- President - Chairperson of the Board of Directors
- President Elect - Chairperson of the Workshops Committee
- Vice President, Chairperson of the Grievance Committee
The non-voting, ex-officio members of the board of directors of the association who serve at the pleasure of the elected officers are:
- Executive Director - Chief Executive Officer of the Association
- Secretary - performs secretarial duties and assists the executive director
- Treasurer - Chief Financial Officer of the Association
- Webmaster - responsible for all websites, email services and secure gateways.
The President Elect and Vice President are to be elected during the month of December each year and take office January 1st of the following year. Once elected, the President Elect automatically ascends to the presidency when that position is vacated. Vice Presidents may succeed themselves as often as elected. The Executive Director and Web Master serve at the pleasure of the Executive Board.
The standing committees for the association are:
- Grievance committee - settles disputes between
members and the association (This committee is chaired by the Vice President)
- Ethics committee - settles disputes regarding professional conduct of members (This committee is chaired by the President Elect)
The executive board may constitute any other committees at any time to provide such services as the executive board shall determine. The current officers of NTACSA are:
